Back in 1989, Back To The Future II painted a pretty awesome picture of what October 2015 would look like. I'm fairly certain Doc Brown would never lie to us... Right? -
2.
Nike Power-lace: Never tie your shoelaces again? Sign me up! Nike actually released a look-a-like version in 2014, but a fully functional version should be hitting stores any day now. -
3.
Food Hydrators: Who doesn’t want to be able to carry a dehydrated pizza in their back pocket, ready for hydration and consumption at any time? Come on Black & Decker, get developing! -
4.
Hoverboards: A lot of almost-hoverboards have come out, including some that do actually work over water (see various videos of drone and similar types). Hopefully Ole St. Nick will be leaving a lot of these under the tree this Christmas. -
5.
Auto-drying Jackets: Get soaked in a torrential downpour? No problem, your jacket will dry itself! Not sure which design will be producing these but Dr. Brown assured us they're coming so we believe! -
6.
Fax Machines: Better go grab one from a thrift-shop or dig your old one out of storage, ’cause this year fax machines are back baby! -
7.
The Scenery Channel: This is kind of a thing in those uppity $300 a night doggie hotels. -
8.
Fingerprint Recognition Door Locks: If you can use your fingerprint to unlock an iPhone, you must be able to use it to unlock a door somewhere in the world... -
9.
Phone Glasses: Technically there's Google Glass, but they just don’t look as rad as the Back to the Future version. -
10.
Droid Dog Walkers: Time to cancel your contract with your neighborhood dog walker! The automated solution to all your dog walking problems is just around the corner. -
11.
Robotic Gas Pumps. If, based primarily on Back to the Future II, you’ve avoided learning how to use a gas pump so far, you’ll b eagerly awaiting this one! -
12.
Retractable Indoor Garden: If Marty and Doc taught us anything, it’s that gardens are about a thousand times better when they float. -
13.
Flying Cars: Our cars are just barely learning to drive themselves, but are taking to the skies this year!
